Our client is a leading provider of customized IT services and software solutions, working closely with renowned companies across various industries, from automotive and mechanical engineering to medical technology and financial services. Their expertise ranges from developing complex software applications to consulting and implementing cutting-edge IT infrastructures.

What to Expect:

  • You will assist clients in the introduction and optimization of their processes, enhancing the efficiency of their software development projects. This involves implementing established standards and integrating ALM tools into customer systems, including:
  • Process consulting
  • System customization and implementation
  • Conducting feasibility studies
  • User support
  • You will manage the Polarion ticket system and handle incoming requests to ensure smooth operations. This includes independently resolving issues or escalating them to the vendor.
  • You will support users with questions and issues related to Polarion applications, ensuring effective use of the software.
  • You will conduct user training sessions for Polarion at all levels, providing in-depth knowledge for optimal tool utilization.
  • You will create and configure workflows and custom reports in Polarion using the Velocity Scripting Engine and HTML/CSS.
  • You will evaluate and implement automation solutions for user workflows through scripts in JavaScript or extensions/plugins in Java.
  • You will take on server-side administration and configuration of Polarion on Linux and Windows, including installation, updates, and maintenance.
  • You will perform server migrations and data migrations, ensuring secure operations, including the administration of Apache2, PostgreSQL, and SVN.
  • You will work closely with the sales management team to develop compelling proposals for clients.
  • You will be willing to provide support outside of office hours and on weekends if necessary to ensure continuous operations.

What You Should Bring:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification as an IT Specialist
  • At least 10 years of professional experience, ideally with some experience in Managed Services
  • Strong knowledge of Polarion technology with at least 5 years of experience
  • Experience in project management, and possibly leadership experience. Experience in proposal creation is a plus.
  • Solid incident management skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in software training
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in professional customer interactions
  • Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
